Common issues

| Mod not loading | Verify MelonLoader is installed and Behind Bars.dll is in your Mods folder. Check the MelonLoader log for errors. |
| Arrest flow unchanged | Restart the game after installing and confirm the mod appears in the MelonLoader list. |
| Performance drops | Disable debug logging and try a fresh restart. |
| Parole officers missing | Confirm the save file is parole-eligible and that the release includes the required assets. |
What to include in a bug report
Include:
- Steps to reproduce
- Expected vs. actual behavior
- Your mod version
- The MelonLoader log (
Latest.log) - Any config changes you made
Support channels
- Discord – Bug reports must go in the
bug-lockupchannel on the Discord server. - Issue tracker – GitHub is the only other approved place to report bugs.
Self-service tips
- Use the wiki’s gameplay pages to confirm expected behavior before reporting a bug.
- Check the changelog to see if your issue is already addressed in a newer release.
- Check the Trello board and Discord for existing bug reports before posting a new one.
